Straps for Rolex Daytona — the chronograph that races with you

Since 1963, the Daytona has been the chronograph of speed. The lug width has remained 20mm across every generation: from Paul Newman's 6263 to the modern 126500LN with a Cerachrom bezel. Below are filters for leather.

20mm: The Daytona's constant

Unlike other modern Rolex models, the Daytona has retained its 20mm lug width throughout its entire history — from the manual-wind 6239 of 1963 to the 116500LN, all the way to the current 126500. This means the same 20mm strap fits a vintage steel Daytona and a contemporary Cerachrom Daytona alike. For the pre-Cerachrom references (16520 Zenith, 116520 4130), black or brown Hornback alligator is the historically correct choice. For the current 126500, bordeaux cordovan">shell cordovan or Faubourg barenia calfskin make their presence felt without forcing the point.
