This dark brown vintage leather strap is made from selected leather, handcrafted in Italy. The distressed finish is not an aesthetic effect added at the final stage: it is the direct result of the manufacturing process, which gives each piece a unique personality. With time and use, the leather continues to evolve, darkening at stress points and progressively softening on the wrist.

It is the direct result of the craftsmanship. It is not an aesthetic effect added in the final stage — the hand-brushing and the way we work the leather create those irregular nuances and marks. Each piece is different because it depends on how the hands have built it. With use, it continues to evolve: it darkens at the points of tension, it softens on the wrist.
I see it in dark brown in the photos, but how much can the colour really vary from one piece to another?
The chromatic variations compared to the images are part of the nature of the material, not a defect. When you work vintage leather by hand, every hide has its own story. We know it can be frustrating if you are looking for total uniformity, but that is what you are looking for when you want something tactile and true.
At 2.5mm it is thin, but does it hold up on a heavier watch or is it only for a dress watch?
