Suede doesn't forgive mediocrity. Every imperfection in the finish is visible, palpable—and this strap has none. The suede surface absorbs light instead of reflecting it, and vintage orange is not a showy color: it's a deliberate choice, for those who know the difference between showing off and making a statement.
Suede is obtained by processing the reverse side of bovine leather, which gives it immediate softness—no break-in needed. It adapts to the wrist in just a few days, following the natural shape of the arm. Its slim profile makes it ideal under a shirt cuff, without creating bulk.
The orange tone is intentionally warm, tending towards amber in areas of wear—a characteristic of vintage suede that time enhances, not deteriorates.

It shifts tone depending on how you brush it: the short nap moves with the light. It marks, and those marks become its story. Kept away from water, it stays with you for years.

Changing your strap should be as simple as changing your shoes. With us, it is.
Every strap has integrated quick-release spring bars: swap it in one gesture, no tools, no risk of scratching the lugs. The same watch shifts mood with the moment.
Picked for you
Vintage suede by nature develops a patina over time — areas of wear tend to lighten slightly, accentuating the amber character of the orange tone. This is not deterioration: it’s material evolution. Those seeking a leather that remains identical over time should opt for smooth finishes; those who appreciate vintage character will find in suede an ally.
Suede is sensitive to prolonged moisture: water can leave temporary stains and over time may stiffen the structure. This is a strap designed for elegant, everyday use under normal conditions, not for sports activities or very humid environments. In case of accidental wetting, simply let it air dry away from direct heat sources, without rubbing.
The Datejust 36mm is fitted with 20mm lugs — the correct size is therefore 20mm × 16mm, not 19mm. The lug width (20mm) must correspond exactly to the distance between the watch’s lugs, while the 16mm indicates the width at buckle height. Before ordering, always verify the lug width with a caliper or on the watch’s official technical sheet.
Unlike smooth leather, suede should not be treated with traditional creams or hydrating oils — you risk altering its texture and darkening the color. For routine maintenance, a soft dry brush is sufficient to remove dust and surface fraying. Protective sprays specifically formulated for suede exist that can increase moisture resistance without compromising its appearance.
