Each strap is crafted from a specific portion of the reptile's back: the symmetrical scales in the center, the more irregular ones on the flanks. No two straps are identical. Slight variations in color and pattern between pieces are not flaws — they are the hallmark of authentic material.
The craftsmanship is Italian, executed with the time and care this type of leather demands: pressing, edge finishing, hand stitching. The thickness progressively tapers from the lug end to the buckle hole, ensuring comfort when worn without sacrificing structure under the lug.

This strap is available in 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22 mm. Please note the buckle: above 20 mm the width narrows, for instance the 21 mm closes at 18 mm and the 22 mm at 20 mm.
Yes, the stitching is done by hand. The edge finishing and pressing also follow the pace of the alligator leather, not that of a machine.
The matte dark brown works well with black, white, and champagne dials. It doesn't reflect light the way a glossy finish would, so it doesn't clash with any of the three.
Each alligator hide has its own pattern: symmetrical scales at the centre of the back, more irregular ones along the sides. The piece you receive is cut from a specific area, so slight variations in tone and pattern between one strap and another are always present. It's not a flaw, it's genuine leather.
The thickness goes from 3.5 mm at the lug to 2.5 mm towards the keeper loop. Under the lug it retains structure, while towards the wrist it tapers and adapts better to the motion of fastening.
