How do I find out the lug width of my IWC?
Check the model code on the caseback: IW376501, IW510401, and similar. Or measure the width between the lugs yourself. 20mm is the dominant lug width in the IWC catalog (649 models), followed by 22mm and 18mm. In any case, contact us with the model number: we'll match the right strap.
Which leather do you recommend for an IWC strap to wear every day?
Leather is the natural choice: it ages well, breathes, and maintains over time that patina which enhances the sober elegance of an IWC. cordovan is more robust, nubuck softer. It depends on the use: daily work or formal occasions.
Can you make a customized strap for my IWC?
Yes. Choose the leather from alligator, crocodile, lizard, rubber or nylon. We determine together the lug width and closure type. We craft the piece to order in our Milan atelier.
How long does an artisanal strap take to be ready?
Between 10 and 15 working days from order confirmation. The time reflects hand-stitching and quality control. It's not speed, it's care.
How do I maintain a natural leather strap over time?
Avoid prolonged immersion and constant humidity. Clean with a soft dry cloth. If wet, air dry it. Leather and cordovan improve with use, developing a patina that tells the story of your IWC.
