It’s a progressive transformation, not a sharp color shift. The gray gradually develops subtle amber undertones in high-friction areas—where the buckle works, where your wrist touches. It works well precisely because the vintage leather gray is never flat. Traditional tanning gives it warmth and texture that dialogue with steel’s light rather than blend into it. Pressed grains like Epsom and Saffiano maintain their original appearance nearly unchanged over time—they’re scratch-resistant and don’t develop appreciable patina.
