The leather is the first choice I make for every strap. Not the look — the fibre, the feel, the real thickness before finishing. Tanning takes months before the material becomes workable, and that time changes everything. A vegetable-tanned calfskin has a density that chrome can never give. A shell cordovan ages becoming cleaner, not more worn.
Here you'll find all the leathers we use: bovine, CITES-certified exotics, horse, suede. Each with its own rules of use, its own stitching measurements, its own character over time. You keep the exotic leathers separate not out of snobbery — because alligator, Nile crocodile and ostrich require different care.
If you're not sure where to start: French calfskin is the first solid choice for anyone, the belly-cut alligator is a collector's piece of a lifetime, and another leather suits those who love seeing the material breathe.
