Leather ages. But only good leather ages well.

The Bone Vintage is born with a story. The distressed finish — hand-brushed on quality calfskin — doesn't simulate wear: it anticipates it. Subtle cracks, variations in tone, a surface that tells a story even before it's worn. It's not an aesthetic artifice. It's a choice of substance, starting from the material and reflected in the final result.

The bone tone ranges between ivory and greige — neutral without being anonymous. It works with light dials, with restored vintage pieces, with steel or bronze cases that don't seek contrasts but harmonies. It's the type of strap that isn't immediately noticeable, but after a few hours on the wrist, it stops looking new — in the best possible way.

Each piece is slightly different from the next. Leather doesn't lie: chromatic variations between one piece and the next are not a manufacturing defect, but an integral part of the design. You choose Bone Vintage knowing that no one else will have exactly the same one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the distressed finish applied by hand to each strap or is it an industrial treatment?

It is a brushing executed by hand, piece by piece. This is not a finish applied in series: each strap passes through the process manually, which explains why no two examples are identical. Tone variations and surface cracking are the direct result of this work — not a printed or laminated effect.

Which watches does the bone tone pair best with?

Bone works well with light dials — white, cream, champagne — and steel or bronze cases. It feels at home on watches with a vintage soul, even when applied to contemporary references. It is a tone that does not impose: it accompanies without overwhelming, which makes it versatile across a wide range of men’s watches.

How does this strap evolve over time compared to untreated leather?

Starting from an already distressed surface, the evolution over time is more gradual and less dramatic than virgin leather. There will be no sharp ‘before and after’: the strap will continue to absorb daily use, developing a patina that adds to the initial workmanship. The final result, after months of wear, is a leather with stratified character that smooth craftsmanship would never achieve.

Is the 24mm x 20mm size suitable for watches with wide lugs like a Panerai?

Yes, the 24mm variant is designed precisely for substantial cases — Panerai, but also certain vintage pieces with generous lugs. The taper to 20mm on the short end ensures compatibility with standard 20mm buckles and deployantes. At 2.5mm thick, the strap maintains a contained profile even on voluminous cases.
