Three details define this strap: the Saffiano grain, the hand-folded edge, and the white stitching that cuts through the brown with surgical precision. It's not decoration — it's construction.
Saffiano is a process that originates from the diagonal cross-hatching pressed onto Italian leather: the result is a surface that resists scratches, fingerprints, and daily wear without losing its composure. The brown here is not neutral — it has depth, changes with the light, and pairs well with both dark and light dials with equal ease.
The folded edge is a technical choice before it is an aesthetic one: it eliminates visible cuts, giving the strap a clean, almost sartorial cross-section. The white stitching doesn't mimic other colors — it declares and maintains the contrast.
Made in Italy.

It isn't afraid of scratches.
The cross-hatched grain is armour: it shrugs off scratches and rain where full-grain would mark. It changes little over time, and that's its virtue — wear it every day and it stays itself.

Frequently Asked Questions
What concretely changes between the 20mm×18mm and 22mm×20mm width on this strap?
The measurement indicates the width at the watch lug attachment and at the buckle. A 22mm×20mm strap has a more pronounced visual presence on the wrist and adapts to cases with wider lugs, typical of sports watches or large-diameter dress watches. The 20mm×18mm is more versatile on medium cases, between 38mm and 42mm. Length and thickness remain unchanged in both cases.
Does the Saffiano grain tend to peel or lose definition over time with daily use?
The Saffiano finish is impressed deep into the leather through a hot pressing process: it is not a superficial stamp that wears away. With daily use, the grain maintains its structure, and this characteristic is precisely what makes Saffiano more resistant to scratches compared to smooth leather. It may soften slightly over time, but without losing the definition of the crosshatch pattern.
Does the folded edge require special attention compared to a traditional varnished edge?
On the contrary: the folded edge is more robust than the varnished edge because it does not expose the leather edge to wear and moisture. It does not flake, and requires no specific maintenance. The only precaution applies to all leather straps: avoid prolonged immersion in water and air dry if wet, without direct heat sources.
Do white stitches on a brown background hold up over time or tend to yellow?
The thread used is treated to maintain its color over time — it does not yellow from light exposure or stain easily from skin contact. It is however normal that after months of intensive use the stitches show slight wear marks at points of maximum flexion: this is a physiological process common to all stitched straps, regardless of thread color.
