A straight strap keeps the same width from the lugs to the buckle, while a tapered one narrows toward the closure. Tapered straps are typically more elegant and comfortable on the wrist, and are the standard of fine Italian artisan watchmaking.

Our straps are compatible with any watch using standard spring bars. Just select the correct size based on the lug width. We make straps for Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, IWC, Panerai, Omega and hundreds of other brands.

We work with the world’s finest leathers: American and mississippiensis alligator, python, ostrich, Barenia calf, Epsom, Swift, cordovan and many more. Each leather is hand-selected by our artisans at the best European tanneries.

Lead times vary with the complexity of the project and the leather chosen. Generally 2 to 6 weeks. For rare materials or particular finishes the time can be longer. You’ll receive photo updates throughout the production stages.

Yes — we offer stainless steel, PVD and gold buckles with laser or hand-engraved options. Buckle customisation is a detail appreciated by the most discerning collectors.

Yes — we ship worldwide. International shipments are handled by express courier (DHL, FedEx) with full tracking. Delivery times range from 2 to 7 business days depending on destination.

In Italy standard delivery takes 24-48 business hours from dispatch. We also offer express shipping for those who need the strap urgently.

You’ll receive the tracking number by email as soon as your order ships. You can follow the shipment directly on the courier’s site or contact us for any updates.

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on destination and parcel weight. We offer free shipping within Italy for orders above a threshold indicated on the site.

For routine cleaning a soft, lightly damp cloth is enough. Avoid harsh detergents, alcohol or solvents. For exotic leathers we recommend a specific conditioner for luxury leathers, applied with a microfibre cloth every 2-3 months.

Leather straps are not designed for prolonged water contact. Excess moisture can damage the leather fibres and compromise the stitching. If you practise water sports, we recommend a rubber or NATO nylon strap.

Keep the strap away from direct heat sources and intense sunlight. Ideally in a soft pouch or a lined drawer. Avoid sharp folds to prevent marking the leather.

Yes — the atelier receives by appointment only. You can book directly from the site in the Casati Milano section, or contact us by email at info@milanostraps.it or WhatsApp. The appointment is free and without obligation.

During the consultation you can handle our leathers, choose colours and finishes, and discuss every detail of your bespoke strap with our artisans. The consultation lasts about 45-60 minutes and includes precise measurement of your watch lugs.

We encourage you to bring your watch. Seeing the strap mounted on the case is the best way to assess colours, proportions and finishes. Our artisans will happily install several samples to help you choose.

We accept returns within 14 days of receipt for non-customised products, in original condition and never worn. Bespoke straps are not refundable as they are made specifically for the client.

All our straps are guaranteed against manufacturing and material defects for 12 months from purchase. The warranty does not cover normal wear, damage caused by water, chemicals or improper use.
