Strap. Spring bar. Tool. Care.
The joy of little things
Have you ever wished you could change your watch strap as easily as you swap your shoes? Now you can.
Every strap we sell comes with built-in quick-release spring bars. The real joy is the instant transformation: with a flick of a finger, you can completely renew your watch's look. Go from a leather strap for the office to a silicone one for the gym in a heartbeat. It's the most satisfying way to play with your style.
Domande Frequenti
What's the difference between PVD plating and traditional electroplating?
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is applied under vacuum at controlled temperatures: the metal evaporates and deposits on the steel as an integrated crystalline layer, not just a surface coating. Traditional electroplating bonds far less tightly and wears off in months on contact surfaces. A PVD buckle keeps its finish for years of daily use.
Will an 18mm buckle fit any 18mm watch strap?
Yes. The size refers to buckle width (narrow end of the strap, where it threads into the buckle). Most modern straps have a taper: 20/16, 22/18, 24/20mm — so a strap with 22mm lug width typically has an 18mm buckle. Check the taper spec: buckle width is what matters here, not lug width.
Does PVD plating scratch? How long does it last?
PVD coating hardness is around 2500-3500 HV (versus ~200 HV for bare steel), so it resists superficial scratches far better than traditional plating. Under normal use (knocks against desks, cuff edges, etc.) it keeps the finish for years. Not indestructible: harsh metal abrasives or hard impacts can mark it, as with any other finish.
Will PVD gold fade with sweat or water?
No. PVD yellow gold or rose gold is chemically stable, doesn't oxidize, and doesn't react with sweat, fresh or salt water, or common cosmetics. It's the same tech used on high-end sport watches. Just avoid aggressive chemicals (industrial solvents, bleach) for cleaning.
Is the closure pin the same material and finish as the buckle?
Yes. Each buckle includes a matching tongue pin — same finish, same Swiss-grade steel, same PVD plating where applicable. Designed as a coherent set at the wrist, not a component you have to source separately.
