Stingray leather doesn't go unnoticed. Not for ostentation, but for its structure: that calcified, dense, and irregular texture is the result of millions of years of evolution—not an industrial process. Each strap is different from the next because each skin carries the unique geometry of the specimen it came from.
Light brown works well here. It doesn't soften the material's character; it complements it. On a warm dial—ivory, champagne, fumé—it finds its natural consistency. On a black, it creates the right contrast without forcing it.
Please note: color variations between pieces are intrinsic to the nature of this material. They are not a defect—they are proof that you are wearing something authentic.

Hard as stone, alive as leather.
Studded with mineral pearls: almost impossible to scratch, indifferent to water. Over time the pearls polish with contact and the surface takes on an almost enamelled brilliance.

Frequently Asked Questions
But doesn't this irregular texture of the stingray worry me? I mean, isn't it a flaw that worsens over time?
No, it's the opposite. That calcified texture you see is the natural structure of galuchat leather — it's what makes it practically indestructible. It's not a finish that wears away: it's the geometry of the material itself. With use, the leather will patina, but that texture will remain there, characteristic and intact. It's one of the reasons galuchat withstands years of daily wear without giving way.
I have a watch with a black dial and I'm afraid the light brown will clash. Should I get it anyway?
Yes. Light brown creates contrast with black, but it's not forced contrast — it's natural. The quality of galuchat leather does the work: there's enough character in the material that you don't need to play with saturated colors. If you have a warm dial — ivory, champagne, smoked — light brown finds even more coherence. But black works.
Is each strap really different? Do I risk receiving a discolored or wrong piece?
Each piece is different in structure and color nuances, yes — it's inherent to galuchat leather. It's not a defect, it's proof it's authentic. What can vary between one specimen and another are the calcified plaques and the tonalities within the light brown. You don't receive a ‘wrong’ piece: you receive yours, unique. If this creates uncertainty for you, better to know it now.
How long will a stingray strap last me if I wear it every day?
galuchat is explicitly suited for daily use. It's a dense and resistant material — that calcified texture is practically indestructible. But I can't give you a number of years: it depends on use, humidity, how hard you push it. What I can say is that it's not a delicate strap you need to protect. It's made to last.
Is 22 millimeters the standard size? How many watches mount this lug width?
22 is the lug width — it's a measurement you find on major watch brands, but I can't list exactly which ones. Before ordering, verify your watch: the lug width is the space between the lugs where the strap goes. If yours is 22 millimeters, it fits perfectly. If you're not sure, measure it or check your model's specifications.
