The Itay Noy Identity IDROM features 20mm lug width, an intermediate standard suited for watches ranging from 40mm to 44mm in diameter, ensuring balanced proportions between structural integrity and gestural elegance.

We recommend an alligator strap in dark brown or deep black tones for the IDROM, as the skin texture engages effectively with the angular geometry of the case. Vegetable-tanned calf leather offers a versatile alternative for daily wear, developing character through ageing that testifies to the material dialogue between timepiece and wrist.

Remove the strap using a spring bar tool or pointed implement. Insert the tool into the small lateral hole of the lug, gently push the internal spring to free it from the holes, extract the strap and repeat on the opposite side. Insert the new strap by aligning the holes with the lugs and push until the locking click is heard.

The IDROM accepts all straps with 20mm lug width: alligator, vegetable-tanned calf, shell cordovan, NATO fabric, vulcanised rubber and suede leather. Ensure the strap's buckle or deployante clasp is compatible with the case thickness, typically not exceeding 5mm in depth.

A premium leather strap lasts between 2 and 5 years with conscious daily wear. Longevity depends on the tanning quality, frequency of use, atmospheric exposure and maintenance. Vegetable-tanned calf maintains superior mechanical properties for extended periods compared to chemically-dyed leathers, developing aesthetic character through ageing.
