Hammered calfskin in this shade works because the grain gives body to a colour that, on its own, would risk looking flat and cold. The surface has movement — it catches the light differently depending on the angle, and that movement just barely warms a tone that begins cold. The result is an ice with depth, not a sheet of colour laid down uniformly.
Tonal stitching is the right choice here, and for a precise reason: a white thread would disappear into an already pale colour.
The thickness is 2,5 mm: enough to feel it on the wrist, not enough to become cumbersome. The edge is finished by hand. The lining is soft from the first week.
I naturally pair it with polished steel, white gold, platinum — ice sits with cool tones without forcing, and on a white or silver dial the dialogue is immediate. It also works on yellow or rose gold, but there you enter a more delicate warm-cold contrast: beautiful, but to be measured carefully. For a Datejust with a white dial, for a Constellation, for a Calatrava — here ice is not an eccentric choice. It is a precise one.
Those who buy this strap already know what they want. There is no need to convince them — only not to disappoint them.

A texture that hides daily life.
The hammered finish breaks the surface into countless facets: micro-scratches disappear into the pattern instead of showing. Tough leather, for those who live with their strap without a second thought.

Frequently Asked Questions
But this Tiffany blue, how will it really look on the wrist? Will it change appearance depending on the light?
Yes, and that’s the point. The grain of the hammered calf breaks up the color saturation — it’s not a flat, uniform space. The surface has movement, catches light differently depending on the angle. What you see under a lamp is not exactly what you see in the sun. It’s not a blue that always shouts the same thing. It’s one that breathes.
Is it too thick? I don’t want a strap that feels rigid on the wrist for the first few weeks.
The thickness is 2.5 mm — enough to feel it and have substance, not enough to become cumbersome. The lining is soft from the first week, so that initial stiffness you’re worried about won’t be a problem.
I’m not sure how to pair it. What watches do I really see it working well on?
On yellow gold and rose gold the color contrast is sharp and works naturally. But it holds up very well on polished steel too — especially with light or silvered dials. A Datejust with white dial, a Constellation, a Calatrava in gold: in these contexts Tiffany blue is not an eccentric choice. It’s a precise choice.
Why ecru stitching and not white? Wouldn’t that be cleaner?
White thread would be too much — it would throw off the strap’s balance. A thread the same Tiffany blue would fade, disappear. Ecru finds the balance: it’s visible without competing. It’s the thread that lets the strap breathe as intended.
How is the edge worked? Is it something I see with the naked eye or is it a detail for experts?
The edge is finished by hand. It’s not invisible — if you look at it, you see the work. It’s not a detail that goes unnoticed, but it’s not something you think about while wearing it either. It’s like feeling the quality of a fabric: you don’t notice it until it’s there.
