The lug width of this model is 20mm. This dimension is measured between the two lugs (the protrusions from the case) and is the essential parameter for selecting compatible straps. You can verify the measurement using a digital calliper positioned perpendicular to the lugs.

It depends on usage and personal preference. For a formal-sporting context, we recommend a vegetable-tanned calfskin or shell cordovan strap, which pairs naturally with the patina of the bronze case. For outdoor activities, a NATO strap in high-density cotton or a vulcanised rubber strap offers greater durability. The perfect choice is the one that reflects your wearing style.

The strap is changed by extracting the spring bars from the case lugs using a dedicated tool called a spring bar remover. Position the tool under the bar and apply slight upward pressure until the internal spring is released, then remove the old strap. Align the new strap holes with the lugs and reinsert the spring bars until you feel a click of engagement.

Durability depends on leather quality, wearing frequency, and environmental conditions. A calfskin strap with vegetable tanning typically lasts 3-5 years with moderate daily use. Periodic maintenance (gentle cleaning, conditioning) significantly extends useful life.
