Black and blue isn't a combination: it's a statement. The Black & Blue Driver brings the chromatic logic of archived sports dials to the wrist — that blue that doesn't shout, but gets noticed at second glance, when the eye has already read the obvious and wants something more.

The leather is full-grain calfskin, cut and finished by hand in our atelier. The edges are burned and sealed one by one — a technique borrowed from automotive saddlery, not decorative but structural. Over time, they develop a dark, compact patina with an increasingly defined character. The waxed polyester thread stitching does its job silently: it holds.

Black ensures versatility. Blue defines character. Together, they work from the paddock to the boardroom, on a chronograph as well as on a dress watch.

Black and Blue Leather Driver Strap

It softens to your wrist.

It starts firm and, week after week, takes the shape of your wrist. The surface grows warmer to the touch, the colour gains depth where the light hits it. No plastic on top: leather that ages honestly.

The next step

The joy of little things

Changing your strap should be as simple as changing your shoes. With us, it is.

Every strap has integrated quick-release spring bars: swap it in one gesture, no tools, no risk of scratching the lugs. The same watch shifts mood with the moment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the blue stable or does it change over time like the rest of the leather?

The blue remains stable. What evolves is the black leather: as the months pass, the burnished edges develop a dark patina, increasingly compact and defined. The blue, on the other hand, maintains its character — it doesn’t shout, but it makes itself noticed, which is exactly what you want in a strap that works just as well on a chronograph as on a dress watch. The black-blue pairing becomes more and more interesting because the black ages, the blue does not.

I have an 18mm lug: which width should I choose?

18mm × 16mm. The first is the lug width (what fits between the watch lugs), the second is the width at the buckle. For standard lugs like yours there is no ambiguity — if your watch has 18mm lug width, the strap you need is the one with 18 in the first position.

Does the stitching hold up, or is it one of those things that comes undone after a few months?

The thread is waxed polyester, dyed to match, and the work speaks for itself. This isn’t craftsmanship for the sake of pretty photos — the burnished and sealed edges, done one by one, are not decorative; they come from automotive saddlery because that logic is structural. The stitching holds quietly, without being the focal point. On any timepiece, from a Rolex to a Grand Seiko, the strap is not the weak link.

Is every piece different? Will I end up with a deformed strap, or are these normal variations?

Each strap is cut from natural leather, so grain and tone vary from piece to piece. This is not a defect — it is the signature of artisan work. What changes is the appearance, not the structure. The thickness is 2.5mm throughout, the edges are burnished by hand according to the same principle, the stitching follows the same method. The variability is in character, not in reliability.

If my watch is a bit less well-known, will the strap still fit?

The available widths range from 18mm up to 24mm, and for each size there is a corresponding width at the buckle. You simply select the correct one based on the lug width of your watch — whether it’s a well-known name or a more obscure one, if it has a standard lug attachment, the strap works. The Driver Black Blue is not brand-dependent; it is simply made for quality watches.
