The strap for this watch is made to measure
On the Breitling Chronomat B01 41 the bracelet is drawn as part of the case: no catalogue strap will fit. In the atelier we take the measurements on the watch itself and build the strap on the piece — that is the work of Casati Milano.

Can a standard strap be fitted to the Breitling Chronomat B01 41 AB014012BA52728P?
No. The Rouleaux bracelet is integrated directly into the case: there are no standard lugs to attach a conventional strap. To fit leather to this watch, I build the attachment from scratch, working directly on the case in the atelier. It is a craft intervention, not a quick swap.
How does the bespoke strap service work for the Chronomat B01 41?
The work is done at Casati Milano, by appointment only, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements directly from the geometry of the integrated lugs, and build the attachment to match the original angle of the Rouleaux links. No measurement is taken from memory or a data sheet: every millimetre is read from the actual case.
Which leather do I recommend for the Breitling Chronomat B01 41?
For a chronograph with this muscular build, I prefer vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather in natural or dark tobacco. It has the right substance to carry a watch of this weight and character, and over time it develops a patina that works well alongside the brushed steel of the case. Barenia is a valid alternative for a more refined result, but Tuscan leather ages with more personality.
How long does a well-made leather strap last?
With minimal care — keeping it dry, avoiding twisting it, applying a little conditioner occasionally — a vegetable-tanned leather strap easily lasts five to eight years of daily wear. The leather does not deteriorate: it transforms. The creases, the shifting colour, the marks left by the wrist — all of that is the story of the person wearing it, not a flaw.
What are the rider tabs on the Chronomat bezel and what are they for?
They are the four protruding tabs on the rotating bezel, originally designed for pilots: they allow the bezel to be turned even with flying gloves on. The Chronomat was born in 1984 as a tool for aerobatic display teams, and those tabs are the detail that tells that story most clearly. They remain there today, as functional as they are distinctive — and they are the first reason I recognise a Chronomat from a distance.
