The Mühle Glashütte ProMare M1-42-13-NB features a lug width of 22mm, measured between the lateral pins (lugs) of the case. This specification is the professional standard for 44mm diving watches and is essential when selecting a compatible aftermarket strap.

Strap choice depends on intended use. For frequent diving, vulcanised rubber offers maximum salt-water resistance and under-wrist grip. For daily elegance, alligator or vegetable-tanned calf develops a noble patina over time. A recycled-fibre NATO maintains the watch's military character with environmental sensitivity.

Strap replacement is accomplished via the lateral pins (22mm width). Use a spring bar tool to remove the horizontal pins from the lugs, extract the old strap, and insert the new one, ensuring the pin clicks securely on both sides of the case.
