The lug width of the M1-42-04-NB is 22mm. This width is proportionate to the 44mm case and is the essential specification for selecting compatible aftermarket straps. Measure directly between the internal lug attachments on your case to verify accuracy before purchasing.

For this carbon and ceramic diving chronograph, we recommend a black or brown alligator strap in 22mm width, or vegetable-tanned leather in tobacco tones. Both maintain the technical identity of the watch. For intensive saltwater use, an FKM rubber strap represents the most practical and time-proven solution.

Strap replacement is accomplished using the spring bars located beneath the lugs. Use a dedicated watch tool, called a spring bar tool, inserting the tip into the bar cavity to compress it slightly. Once compressed, the strap slides away laterally. Repeat on the opposite lug. Installation follows the reverse procedure.

Yes, any strap with 22mm lug width is mechanically compatible. However, aesthetic choice must account for leather thickness and construction quality. We recommend straps from specialised aftermarket manufacturers of high calibre to avoid visual incongruity and ensure durability equivalent to the watch itself.
