Spring bars Rolex Sea-Dweller 16660 — 20mm Triple Six
Set of two spring bars for Rolex Sea-Dweller reference 16660, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between the lugs. Pin 2.0mm. Drilled lugs. The 16660 is the second Sea-Dweller, produced from 1978 to 1989 — nicknamed Triple Six for the 1220m (4000ft) depth and the three 6s engraved on the caseback numbers.
The 16660 is the technical leap between the 1665 and the 16600. Sapphire crystal in place of Plexi, doubled depth rating, revised helium escape valve. The lugs remain drilled until the end of production: 20mm × 2.0mm. For those who collect vintage Sea-Dwellers, the 16660 is the midpoint between the earlier 1665 (rare, expensive) and the modern 16600 (more accessible). The right spring bars are part of doing the work properly.

Frequently asked questions
What size are these spring bars?
20mm between the lugs, 2.0mm pin. The exact size for the Sea-Dweller 16660.
Does the set include two spring bars?
Yes, you need two for the strap, and these are the ones I fit myself on customers' 16660 watches.
What material are they made of?
Hardened Swiss Standard steel. It keeps the right tension even after years of removals.
Do they also fit a 1665 or a 16600?
I designed them for the 16660. If you have a different reference, let me know which one and I'll check the correct size for that model.
Why do you need specific spring bars instead of generic ones?
The 16660 has drilled lugs, a 20mm size and a 2.0mm pin: a precise match. An ill-fitting spring bar moves in its seat and spoils a job done well.
