Set of two spring bars for Rolex Daytona reference 16520, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between lugs. Pin 1.5mm. Drilled-through lugs. The 16520 is the Daytona Zenith El Primero produced from 1988 to 2000 — the first automatic Daytona with calibre 4030 based on the modified Zenith El Primero.
The 16520 marks the beginning of the modern Daytona era. Automatic calibre in place of the manual Valjoux, sapphire crystal, black or white bezel. Drilled-through lugs from the first series and 1.5mm pin — the 16520 is the first Daytona with the modern pin specification, anticipating the 116520 that would arrive in 2000. A cornerstone piece for those who collect transitional Daytonas.

Are these spring bars suitable for my Daytona 16520?
Yes. They are made for the 16520, 20mm lug width, with a 1.5mm pin. The reference is engraved between the lugs at 12 o'clock: please check that before ordering.
What material is it made of?
Hardened Swiss Standard steel. I keep the hardness high because blind lugs leave no room for a weak pin.
Why is the pin 1.5mm instead of the standard size?
The 16520 introduced this pin specification, later carried over to the 116520 in 2000. The lugs are blind: you need the correct pin, not a generic one.
Are they also suitable for the 116520?
This set is designed for the 16520. If you have the 116520, please write to me with the reference engraved between the lugs at 12 o'clock, so I can check before advising you.
