The lug width of the Steinhart Diver P0921 is 22 millimetres. This measurement represents the internal diameter of the spring bars that attach the strap to the case. To verify the measurement, use a digital calliper positioned perpendicularly between the two case lugs at the base of the anchor holes.

There is no universally optimal strap, but rather choices suited to different contexts. For daily elegance, we recommend vegetable-tanned Tuscan leather in burnt tobacco or moka brown, which enhance the case's minimalist aesthetic. For extreme resistance, a heavy NATO (minimum 1.2 mm woven nylon) in charcoal or nautical blue. For water versatility, vulcanised FKM rubber in black. Alligator remains the compromise choice between formal elegance and durability.

Strap replacement requires a spring bar tool (dual-ended instrument). Remove the old strap by gently pushing the spring bar inward from one end, allowing it to slide out of its seat. Insert the new strap by aligning its internal hole with the spring bar, then press the bar until you hear a click. Verify that the spring bar is fully inserted on both sides before wearing the watch.
