The Panerai Mare Nostrum PAM00007 is a 42mm stainless steel watch with a 22mm lug width, featuring an ETA 2801-2 movement and hours, minutes, and seconds display. Originally conceived in 1943 as a chronograph for Italian Navy officers but never mass-produced during WWII, it was reintroduced in 1993 as a tribute to Panerai's historical archives. The design embodies military instrumentation principles: functional, legible, and reliable in extreme conditions without aesthetic concessions.
