The lug width of the ProPilot X is precisely 22 mm. This dimension is specific to the skeletonised titanium case and calibrated to the geometry of the lugs and proportions with the oversized crown. Correct measurement involves positioning the calliper between the inner shoulders of the lugs, excluding any external ornaments. On this model, the lugs are integrated directly into the case without visible welds.

The best strap depends on usage. For formal contexts, we recommend alligator with fine grain and natural patina, which creates eloquent contrast with the brushed titanium case. For flying and tactical environments, a premium nylon NATO maintains aviation heritage. FKM rubber is ideal for humid environments as it does not absorb moisture and does not develop odours. Avoid high-gloss leather and specular finishes, which compete with the case's transparency.

The Oris ProPilot X uses standard spring bar attachments. Use a dedicated tool to remove the springs: gently insert the tip under the spring from inside the lug, push towards the centre to free the spring from its seat, then extract the old strap. Insert the new strap by aligning the hole with the spring and push until the locking click. Verify that both springs are firmly seated before wearing the watch.

Any strap with 22 mm lugs is compatible. FKM rubber, more resistant to environmental wear, lasts 5–7 years even in tactical conditions. Natural patina on leather is a sign of noble ageing, not degradation.
