The Oris BC3 (reference 01 635 7500 4164-07 4 20 10) features a precisely engineered lug width of 20 millimetres. This measurement is critical when selecting a compatible strap: the strap width must match exactly 20mm, otherwise it will either be too loose between the lugs or impossible to insert without forcing the spring bars.

Position the watch on a soft surface. Locate the spring bars at both lug ends, nestled between the case and current strap. Using a spring bar tool or thin flathead screwdriver, press inward on one spring bar to release tension. As the bar retracts, the strap disengages. Repeat on the opposite side. To install the new strap, align the lug holes with the spring bars, then use the spring bar tool to gently retract the bar whilst sliding it into the new strap's holes. Release and verify both sides are firmly secured.
