The Kobold Soarway KD 719121 features a lug width of 24mm. This measurement refers to the distance between the inner shoulders of the case where the strap attaches. Precision measurement with a digital calliper is essential to ensure correct compatibility with aftermarket straps.

The optimal strap depends on intended use. For formal and professional contexts, we recommend dark brown alligator or vegetable-tanned calf leather; for diving and marine environments, FKM rubber or marine-grade silicone provide complete waterproofness; for tactical versatility, a NATO strap in high-density nylon 6-6 enables rapid changes and universal compatibility.

Strap replacement requires a springbar removal tool. Position the tool's tip beneath the springbar (the elastic pin) and apply pressure to release the lug on one side. Repeat on the opposite side. Insert the new strap by aligning the holes with the springbars, then press firmly until fully seated. Avoid excessive twisting that could damage the lugs.

Any strap with a 24mm lug width is compatible with the Kobold Soarway KD 719121. However, given the mass and robust construction of the case, we recommend straps built with substantial thickness (leather 1.4–1.6mm, professional marine elastomers, high-density NATO). Avoid thin or flat-constructed straps that would not respect the visual hierarchy of the dive watch.

Lifespan depends on construction quality and use conditions. A well-made alligator or vegetable-tanned calf strap lasts 3–5 years with routine maintenance (drying after immersions, occasional protective cream treatment). In intensive marine environments or with constant salt exposure, durability reduces to 18–24 months. Marine-grade rubber straps maintain structural integrity for 5–7 years, but may develop odour after prolonged chlorine exposure.
