Set of two spring bars for Rolex Yacht-Master 16628 in yellow gold, in tempered Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between the lugs. Pin 1.5mm. The 16628 is Rolex’s first 40mm gold Yacht-Master, produced from 1992 to 2010 — the brand’s first watch sold exclusively in solid gold.
The 16628 is a Yacht-Master with drilled-through lugs from the very first series. Maxi case proto-type before the 116622, standard drilled-hole geometry. The 1.5mm pin is the correct one. When a client brings in a 16628 for a leather strap, these are the spring bars. They often choose custom Casati in crocodile or alligator — the first gold Yacht-Master is a piece deserving of noble leather.

Will these spring bars fit my Yacht-Master 16628 in gold?
Yes. The 16628 has had closed lugs from the first series, with the standard closed slot. The 1.5mm pin is the correct one for this case. I fit this same piece on clients' 16628s.
What material are they made of?
Hardened Swiss Standard steel. The set includes two spring bars, one size of 20mm between the lugs.
Do they also work with other gold Yacht-Masters?
I sell them designed for the 16628, the first 40mm gold Yacht-Master by Rolex, produced from 1992 to 2010. If you have a different reference, let me know which one so I can check the correct lug and pin.
Is the 1.5mm pin the right one for my Maxi case?
Yes. The 16628 has a Maxi prototype case preceding the 116622, but the geometry of the blind lug hole remains the standard one. The 1.5mm pin is correct.
