Set of two spring bars for Rolex Submariner reference 16610 blind lug version, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between lugs. Pin 1.5mm. Blind lugs. Compatible with all 16610 produced from 2003 to 2010 — second production phase with revised case without through-holes.
The transition from drilled lugs to blind lugs on the 16610 is a change that demonstrates the new Rolex direction. No more direct punch tool: only fork from the side. And with the sealed cavity the 1.5mm pin is required, the diameter that subsequently became the modern standard up to the 126610. The blind-lug 16610 anticipates the future of the line.

Are these spring bars compatible only with the 16610 solid end links or can I use them on other Submariners?
Only with the 16610 from 2003 to 2010 solid end links. The 1.5mm pin diameter and 20mm length are specific to this version. If you have a 16610 with drilled end links or an older 5513, the pin diameter is different and they will not fit. Always verify the end link type before ordering.
What is the difference between these spring bars and those for the 16610 with drilled end links?
Drilled end links allowed the pin to pass completely through from one side to the other. With solid end links, the pin enters only from one side into a sealed cavity, which is why the precise 1.5mm diameter is required. If you use a larger pin on solid end links, you risk permanently damaging them.
How do I install them without damaging the case?
Use a spring bar tool, never a screwdriver or improvised tools. Gently lift from one side only, insert the pin from that side until it reaches the bottom of the cavity. Verify it is fully seated. If you feel resistance, the pin is not properly aligned — remove and try again, do not force it.
Will these spring bars last as long as the original Rolex version?
They are tempered Swiss Standard steel, the same technical level as Rolex components. Durability depends on usage frequency: changing the bracelet monthly will wear them more than changing it every two years. They are not indestructible, but will not deform if installed correctly. After 5-10 years they may begin to lose elasticity, like any spring bar.
