Spring bars Rolex Submariner 116613 — 20mm two-tone
€12,95
Set of two spring bars for Rolex Submariner 116613 two-tone, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between the lugs. Pin 1.5mm. Drilled-through lugs. The 116613 is the steel-gold Submariner Date produced from 2009 to 2020 — LB variant with blue dial and LN with black dial, two of the best-selling two-tone pieces of the Patrick era.
The 116613 has the full Maxi case. Closed lugs, two-tone leather strap or Oyster bracelet. When a client wants to fit a leather strap on a 116613, the most frequent choice is vintage brown or navy blue: a sharp contrast with the two-tone case. The spring bars remain in steel: the 18kt gold of the lugs does not interfere with the geometry of the lug hole.
The same spring bars I fit on my clients’ 116613s.

Domande Frequenti
Can I use these spring bars on other Rolex watches or only on the 116613?
Technically yes, but with caution. The 20mm with 1.5mm pin is standard Rolex for many models (Datejust, GMT, Explorer), but the solid lugs of the 116613 are specific to this case. If your lugs don’t have side holes for the pin, they won’t fit. Verify first that your watch has identical solid lugs.
Is the 1.5mm pin fragile? Do I risk breaking it during installation?
No, tempered Swiss Standard steel holds up well if you don’t use brute force. The real risk is seating the spring bar incorrectly inside the lug: slide the pin parallel to the lug, not sideways. If you feel resistance, remove it and try again instead of forcing it.
How much space do these spring bars take up inside the case? Does it affect leather straps?
They take up no space beyond the standard 20mm, so zero issues. The leather strap attaches normally to the lugs. The only thing is that with the 116613’s solid lugs you’ll only see the top of the pin: it’s not an aesthetic problem, it’s exactly how Rolex designed them.
If I change straps often, how long do these spring bars last before wearing out?
With normal use (1-2 strap changes per month) they last for years. Real wear comes from the repeated movement of the pin inside the lug more than from the pin itself. If you notice the pin starts to have play inside the lug, it means the lug has worn, not the spring bar — in that case you need a Rolex service of the case, not new spring bars.
