Set of two spring bars for Rolex Milgauss, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. The Milgauss is Rolex’s antimagnetic watch: first the 6541 of 1956, then the 1019 from the Sixties to the Eighties, and finally the modern 116400 from 2007-2023. Lugs 20mm, pin 1.8mm on the vintage references and 1.5mm on the modern one.
The 1019 has drilled lugs but the pin already drops to 1.8mm compared to the 2.0mm of the sport models. The 116400 takes the classic modern 1.5mm. The Milgauss is a niche watch, and precisely for this reason, finding the right spring bars after production ended in 2023 is becoming difficult.

I have a 1970s Milgauss 1019 with drilled lugs: will these spring bars work?

I have a modern 116400: is the 1.5mm pin standard for this reference?
Exactly, it’s the classic modern Rolex standard. The 116400 from 2007 onward standardized the 1.5mm pin, so this set fits perfectly. If your original spring bars are worn or lost, these are direct one-to-one replacements.
What’s the critical difference between 1.8mm and 1.5mm pins during installation?
It’s critical. If you install a 1.8mm pin into a 1.5mm lug seat, the pin enters under force and risks chipping or scratching. Conversely, a 1.5mm pin in a 1.8mm seat will rattle and the watch won’t hold the bracelet securely. You must know exactly which Milgauss you have before ordering.
Where should I check if I’m unsure about my Milgauss generation?
Look at the reference number on the caseback: 6541 (vintage ’56), 1019 (1960s-1980s), or 116400 (from 2007 onward). If you don’t see the number, carefully remove the bracelet and measure the lug hole with a digital caliper — 1.8mm or 1.5mm will immediately tell you which set to order.
