Spring bars Rolex GMT-Master 16750 — 20mm vintage
€12,95
Set of two spring bars for Rolex GMT-Master reference 16750, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between the lugs. Pin 2.0mm. Drilled lugs. The 16750 is the GMT-Master produced from 1981 to 1988 — the GMT with quickset date, transition between the vintage 1675 and the 16700 of the Nineties.
The 16750 introduces quick date setting via the crown — the quickset — but retains everything else of the 1675: Pepsi or black bezel, drilled lugs, 2.0mm pin. Five or six years of production, one of the most collected GMTs. The correct spring bars are those of the vintage family: same pin, same supplier as always.
The same spring bars on every 16750 I work on in the atelier. Same supplier.

Domande Frequenti
Are these spring bars compatible only with the 16750 or can I use them on other GMT-Master models?
Technically, the 2.0mm pin and 20mm size make them compatible with all vintage GMT models with drilled lugs from the 1675-16750 family. However, note that the 1990s 16700 switched to a 2.4mm pin, so if you have a 16700 these will not fit. Always verify the pin diameter of your case before ordering.
Is the 2.0mm pin really the original Rolex standard for the 16750, or is it a modern compromise?
It is the original standard: Rolex used the 2.0mm pin for all GMT models with drilled lugs up to and including the 16750. We follow the historical supplier to keep it identical. It is not a compromise; it is the correct specification for your case.
What does ’drilled lugs’ mean and why is it important for these spring bars?
Drilled lugs are the holes in the case lugs where the spring bar pin passes through. The 16750 has them, so these spring bars are designed for this type of hole. If you accidentally get bars for non-drilled lugs, they will not even fit and you risk damaging the case.
I have a strap with 20mm lugs but my GMT is a 16700. Can I use these spring bars?
No, it is not advisable. The 16700 uses a 2.4mm pin; these are 2.0mm. Even if the pin miraculously enters partially, the looseness creates play and the strap will fall off. It is better to purchase the correct bars for the 16700, which cost little and solve the problem once and for all.
