Set of two spring bars for Rolex Daytona reference 116520 in steel, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between the lugs. Pin diameter: 1.5mm. Compatible with the entire 116520 production, from 2000 to 2016 — the first modern Daytona without drilled lugs.
The transition from the 16520 (drilled lugs) to the 116520 (closed lugs) changes everything about the strap. It can only be removed with a fork tool, and the pin works in a closed seat. This is why the 1.5mm is needed here — the vintage 2.0mm diameter doesn’t even fit if you try.
When I mount a leather strap on a client’s 116520, these are the spring bars I use. Same piece, same supplier, for years.

Will these fit my Daytona 116520?
Yes, if you have a 116520, from 2000 to 2016. The lugs are blind, not drilled. These spring bars are made specifically for that type of lug.
What diameter are these spring bars?
1.5mm. On the 116520, the pin works within a closed housing, and the old 2.0mm vintage diameter won't fit. This exact size is required.
Can I fit them myself, at home?
With blind lugs, this can't be done by hand. You need a fork tool to remove and refit them. If you don't have the tool, it's best to have a watchmaker help you.
What material is it, and does it hold up over time?
Hardened Swiss Standard steel. It's the same piece I've been fitting for years when installing a leather strap on a customer's 116520, always from the same supplier.
Do they also work on the older 16520?
No. The 16520 has drilled lugs, while the 116520 doesn't: the entire attachment system is different. These spring bars are designed only for the 116520, from 2000 to 2016.
