Set of two spring bars for Rolex Datejust 31 in yellow gold with drilled lugs, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 17mm between the lugs. Pin 1.8mm. The Datejust 31mm is the mid-size version of the line — larger than the 26 ladies but more compact than the 36 unisex. Narrow 17mm lugs are typical of productions from the Nineties and early Two Thousands.
The 17mm × 1.8mm on drilled lugs is a particularly difficult size to find in the aftermarket. Very few straps are made in 17mm, and almost none with the right spring bars. At Casati Milano I keep stock of 17mm leather and dedicated spring bars: anyone who wants to mount a strap on a gold Datejust 31 finds everything. The drilled lugs allow direct removal with a pin pusher.

Are these spring bars suitable for my gold Datejust 31?
If it has drilled lugs and the lug width is 17mm, then yes. They are made specifically for that case, with 1.8mm pins.
What material are they made of?
Hardened Swiss Standard steel. They withstand spring pressure without deforming, even on narrow lugs like these.
How are they fitted?
With a spring bar tool, through the side hole of the lug. Drilled lugs allow direct removal, without levers or special tools.
Are they also suitable for the Datejust 36?
No. The 36 has wider lugs. This set is designed for the 31, which features the narrow 17mm lugs typical of production from the Nineties to the Two-thousands.
Are they sold individually or in pairs?
In pairs. I keep them in stock together with the 17mm strap, precisely because it is a size that is hard to find with the right spring bars.
