Matte alligator has a texture that glossy finishes cannot. It absorbs light rather than reflecting it, bringing dark gray to an almost mineral depth. On an Apple Watch, where the display already does all the visual work, this strap chooses to take a step back — with the discretion of someone who has nothing to prove.
The alligator leather used is soft to the touch from day one. No breaking in is needed: the structure is already tamed, the grain is dense and uniform, the color is stable. Each plate is hand-selected in our Milanese workshops, crafted according to Italian leather goods methods that allow no shortcuts. Color variations between different pieces are not defects — they are the signature of authentic leather.
The gray chosen here is not neutral by convention. It is a shade that holds its own against the aluminum, titanium, or steel case of the Apple Watch without disappearing or overpowering it. It works with a suit, it works with an open shirt. It doesn't require a special occasion to be worn.
