The Urwerk UR-210 S is a titanium and steel satellite watch that redefines timekeeping through navigation rather than traditional reading. Featuring a three-dimensional carousel, serpentine retrograde displays, and an asymmetrical cockpit-inspired silhouette, this contemporary haute horlogerie piece challenges conventional watchmaking. The watch's radical architecture requires custom lug attachments created exclusively by Atelier Casati Milano using premium materials such as vertical Mississippi alligator leather, naturally aged Barenia, and hand-burnished Tuscan leather.

Can you fit a standard strap to the Urwerk UR-210 S?

No. The bracelet is integrated into the case and does not accept conventional lugs. I've seen many attempts to force it — they leave marks and compromise the structural geometry. The only coherent solution is to build the strap bespoke directly on the watch, in the atelier.

How does the bespoke strap process work for this model?

I work exclusively at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, by appointment only. I take measurements directly from the case, study the Urwerk's attachment and geometry by hand, then craft the personalised strap. There are no standards for this model — each solution is singular.

Which leather do you recommend for the Urwerk UR-210?

I favour Mississippi alligator, vertical grain. This model is radical, sporty, cockpit-minded: the leather must breathe that same tension. Alligator ages visibly and nobly, and the regular texture dialogues well with the case's angular architecture. Barenia works if you prefer a grittier patina.

How long does a well-made strap last?

With measured use and regular care — an oil pass each year, no stagnant water — a genuine leather strap easily reaches 4 to 5 years. After that, if the leather has been sound, you can still have it regenerated. I have straps from ten years ago still in circulation: the leather ages, but it does not die.

Why choose a strap for something as complex as an Urwerk?

Because this geometry demands total coherence. The integrated bracelet is part of the visual identity — it is not a swap accessory.
