The UR-105M UR-105M, seen from the bench

The UR-105M is Urwerk's purest expression of kinetic sculpture at the wrist, featuring an asymmetric architecture in titanium and steel with an orbiting module beneath a domed crystal. This independent Swiss haute horlogerie timepiece represents avant-garde mechanical artistry. Bespoke custom strap attachment by Atelier Casati Milano respects the case's unique geometry and organic lines.

Frequently asked questions

Can I fit a standard strap onto a Urwerk UR-105M?

No. The bracelet is integrated directly into the case and the attachment won't accept standard lugs. I've seen many owners attempt workarounds—they don't work. For this model, the only serious path is a bespoke strap, tailored to the specific geometry of your case.

How does a bespoke strap work for this watch?

You come to the atelier. At Casati Milano I take measurements directly from your case and study how the strap must follow the asymmetrical lines of the casing. We work by appointment, Via XX Settembre 15. It's not a quick process, but it's the only way to honour this watch.

Which leather do you recommend for my UR-105M?

I prefer naturally aged Barenia. This model has sporty yet refined character, and Barenia enveillie develops a patina that honours the technical audacity without weighing it down. If you love contrast, Mississippi Alligator with exceptional grain respects the case's asymmetry while maintaining elasticity over time.

How long does a well-made strap last on this model?

With proper care, easily 8–12 years of daily wear. The natural leather we use ages visibly—water marks, signs of wear—and that's part of the story. I recommend not washing it aggressively and removing the watch when you swim. Colour deepens every winter.

Why is the UR-105M's orbiting module so important to the strap design?

Because the case isn't symmetrical. That satellite rotating under the domed crystal determines how the strap must attach and flow on the wrist. I can't ignore this geometry and make a standard strap. I have to think about how the case's movement dialogues with the movement of your wrist.

The next step
