Strap for Fastrider Chrono Green / Leather

The Tudor Fastrider 42010N-0004 features 24mm lug width (also referred to as strap width). This dimension is specific to mid-to-large chronographs (42mm case) and can be measured using a digital calliper positioned perpendicularly between the spring bar holes. Verifying this measurement is essential before purchasing an aftermarket strap to ensure complete mechanical compatibility.

For this chronograph, we recommend alligator in black or dark brown as the primary choice, as the fine grain texture and natural pattern harmonise with the technical geometry of the ceramic case. Alternatively, vegetable-tanned calf leather (burgundy or brown) develops natural patina over time. For sports usage, a military-grade nylon NATO strap is a legitimate and functional choice.

Position the watch case-down. Locate the spring bar (perno) connecting the strap to the lug. Using a dedicated tool or toothpick, push the small metal ring on the spring bar inward to create slack. Remove the old strap, align the new strap with the lug seat, and allow the spring bar to return to position. Verify the strap is firmly secured on both sides.

A 24mm strap is compatible exclusively with watches equipped with identical lug width. It is not universal and must never be forced onto different sizes (such as 22mm or 26mm). The lifespan of a leather strap depends on frequency of use, humidity exposure, and specific material.
