The lug width of the Panerai Luminor PAM01005 is 24mm. To verify, measure the space between the horizontal pins that attach the strap to the case, taking the measurement from inside to inside and excluding the thickness of the pins themselves.

For the PAM01005, straps in dark alligator (which enhances its military character), black or blue calf leather (creating monochromatic cohesion), cognac brown (for warm contrast), or olive green NATO are ideal. The choice depends on use: alligator for elegance, calf for balance, NATO for military authenticity, rubber for marine environments.

Place the watch on a soft surface with the case facing down. Locate the pins securing the strap, and using a spring bar tool, press the pin from one side to release the internal spring, then remove the pin completely. Repeat on the other side and remove the strap. Proceed in reverse with the new 24mm strap.
