The Panerai Luminor PAM00063 uses a 24mm lug width, a historic Panerai standard for 44mm Luminor models. This measurement has been maintained for decades in vintage models and represents the correct opening between the case lugs. To verify it, measure with a digital caliper the distance between the inner shoulders of the case slots, excluding the spring bar.

The ideal strap depends on your intended use and desired style. The change is simple: equip yourself with a spring bar tool. Remove the old strap by compressing the pin terminals with the tool, then extract the spring bar. Repeat the operation from the opposite side. For the new strap, insert the spring bar into the case slots, ensuring that the terminals lock correctly into the holes. Verify that the strap is secure before fastening it to your wrist.

Any strap with a 24mm lug width is compatible with the PAM00063, provided it has a standard 24mm width spring bar. Artisanal leather straps, alligator, calf, as well as nylon NATO and FKM rubber straps are all adaptable if they respect this measurement. Avoid straps with custom or proprietary lugs that are not compatible with standard Panerai pins.
