For formal occasions, an alligator leather with vegetable tanning in tortora or cognac tones amplifies the case's sophistication. For humidity resistance and durability, FKM rubber is the modern choice. We recommend considering your primary use case before deciding.

Remove the watch and place it on a soft surface (microfibre cloth). Use a spring bar tool to remove the pins: insert the thin end into the side hole of the case with caution to avoid scratching the steel. Push the pin outward until it emerges. Repeat on the opposite side. Align the new strap with the holes and reintroduce the pins carefully. A common mistake is forcing the pin—it should slide smoothly.

Technically yes, but we do not recommend it. Generic 20mm straps do not always respect the geometric tolerances of the Oris ProPilot case. The ProPilot's lugs feature specific curvature and thickness: a poorly calibrated strap creates visible gaps between the lug and strap, compromising aesthetic integrity. A mid-quality calf leather strap, exposed to daily humidity and perspiration, lasts 2–3 years. Leather is a living material that ages: with regular conditioning (neutral creams), longevity extends.
