Manual brushing penetrates the leather structure, it is not limited to the surface. With daily use, the skin develops further patina in flex zones — wrist, lug width — making the strap progressively more personal. It does not fade: it evolves consistently with its own vintage character.
The lived-in texture and brown stitching integrate naturally with watches of historical or military design: field watch, pilot watches, vintage chronographs from the 1960s and 1970s. It works well on modern cases with warm-toned dials — havana, cream, grey — where the brown of the leather creates visual continuity rather than contrast.
2.8 mm is a contained thickness, suitable for most standard lug bars. It does not create buildup under the case and works well on both thin dress watches and medium-sized cases. In case of lug widths particularly close to the caseback, it is always useful to verify the specific measurement of your own watch before purchase.
Smooth Tuscan leather tends toward a more formal and homogeneous finish, with a compact texture that requires weeks of use before softening.
