The lug width is precisely 19mm, measured as the internal distance between the two spring bar pins on the lugs. This measurement is a specific constructive feature of this model reference. The ideal strap depends on intended use. For formal occasions, we recommend vegetable-tanned alligator in warm fulvous or yellow tones, which enhances the steel case patina and complements the black sunburst dial. For daily wear, a textured calf leather in brown or black offers balance between elegance and practicality. For sporting activities or humid environments, a NATO fabric strap or FKM rubber provides superior water resistance and durability.

Strap replacement requires a spring bar tool. Position the watch on a flat surface, insert the tool into the slot on the upper lug pin, gently lift until the spring retracts, and remove the pin. Repeat for the lower lug. Reverse the procedure with the new strap, ensuring the pin is fully seated and the spring is correctly repositioned. Use steady, careful pressure to avoid deforming the lugs.

Although a 20mm strap can be forced onto 19mm lugs, this is not recommended. The lateral movement of the lug reduces wrist stability, compromises timekeeping accuracy, and applies excessive mechanical stress to the spring bar pins. The risk of accidental strap slippage increases significantly. Always use a strap that matches the official 19mm lug width specification.

Leather strap longevity depends on tanning method, leather quality, and usage conditions.
