The lug width is precisely 18mm, the standard measurement connecting the case to straps. This dimension was selected to maintain balanced proportions on the 36.50mm case and provides access to an extensive catalogue of aftermarket straps, both contemporary and vintage-inspired interpretations.

Selection depends on intended use. For formal and daily wear, we recommend alligator in natural tones or vegetable-tanned calf leather. For intensive and aquatic use, fluoroelastomeric rubber ensures superior grip and durability. NATO straps in cotton or acrylic offer maximum flexibility for transitions between different occasions.

Replacement requires a quality spring bar remover tool. Position the watch face down, insert the spring bar remover into the gap between the case lug and strap, apply light pressure to release the internal spring, then remove the old strap. Insert the new strap ensuring the springs click correctly into the case lugs.

Factors such as environmental humidity, water contact and wear frequency accelerate natural degradation. Vegetable tanning ages more nobly but requires greater maintenance; alligator offers superior resistance; shell cordovan combines longevity and aesthetic development. Rubber, free from biological ageing, can last 5-7 years if properly maintained.
