We recommend alligator with vegetable tanning for formal use and aesthetic versatility, or soft calf if you seek balance between elegance and practicality. For sporting and aquatic contexts, high-density nylon NATO straps or FKM rubber guarantee durability without compromise.

The strap is changed by operating the lateral pins (spring bars) that run through the case lugs. Use a dedicated tool (spring bar remover) and gently push the pin downward, then slide off the old strap and fit the new one into the lug, ensuring the return pin clicks perfectly into place.

All straps with 20 mm lug width are compatible, regardless of material: leather (alligator, calf, shell cordovan), textiles (NATO, canvas), rubber and composites. Always verify that the lateral lugs correctly accommodate the pin to avoid mechanical play.

A quality artisanal leather strap with vegetable tanning lasts approximately 3–5 years with daily wear and proper care (avoid prolonged water exposure and store in dry environments). The patina that forms increases aesthetic appeal without compromising stitch integrity. Rubber and NATO offer greater durability (8–10 years) if subjected to frequent mechanical stress.
