Strap for Chyros Automatic - Black / black leather strap (Croco)

The Limes Chyros U6017-LA1.6 features a lug width of 20mm. This dimension corresponds to the internal distance between the two lugs of the case, the space where the spring bars of the strap are inserted. It is essential to always verify this specification when purchasing an aftermarket strap, as an incompatible lug width will not fit the watch correctly.

There is no universally 'best' strap, but rather optimal solutions for different use contexts. For formal elegance, authentic alligator in brown or cognac tones enhances the rigorous geometry of the satin case. For versatility and organic patina, vegetable-tanned calf leather in black or natural brown offers distinctive character and rapid ageing. For sporting practicality, a cotton NATO or FKM rubber strap ensures maximum durability and ergonomic comfort.

The strap is changed using the spring bars, small metal bars with springs located inside the lugs of the case. Position the watch on a soft surface, use a spring bar tool to gently press the end of the bar until it releases from one of the lugs, completely withdraw the bar, insert the new strap ends (compatible with 20mm) into the lugs and reinsert the bar until it clicks back into position. Repeat for both sides.

All straps with a 20mm lug width are compatible with the Chyros U6017-LA1.6. This includes straps in alligator, crocodile, vegetable-tanned calf, shell cordovan, NATO, canvas and technical rubber, provided the ends are dimensioned for 20mm width. Authentic alligator and shell cordovan are more robust and can last 7-10 years or more. The patina that develops over time is a desirable characteristic, not a defect.
