The Laco Vintage 880204 features lug width of 18mm. This measurement is compatible with a wide range of aftermarket straps. To verify compatibility, use a digital calliper and measure the width of the attachment bar at its narrowest point in the lug slot, without applying force.

The choice depends on intended use. For elegance, we recommend dark alligator with American tanning or calf with vegetable tanning – both create an excellent visual dialogue with the black dial. For daily practicality, a military-pattern NATO or grey FKM rubber offers greater versatility and wear resistance. The key is ensuring the strap reflects the watch's functionalist philosophy.

Obtain a spring bar removal tool or a sturdy toothpick. Place the watch face-down, locate the lug bar pin, and gently push downward to release the internal spring. Repeat on the opposite lug. To install the new strap, align the bar hole with the lug seat and push until you hear or feel the locking click.
