The lug width of this model is 20 mm. This measurement represents the distance between the lugs (spring bar holes) on the case and is the fundamental parameter for selecting a compatible strap. Always verify with a digital calliper that the declared width corresponds to 20 ± 0.5 mm before purchase.

An alligator strap with medium grain and natural patina is the ideal choice, as it emphasises the sobriety of the platinum case without competing visually. Alternatively, a vegetable-tanned calf leather in burgundy creates an elegant contrast. For a casual daily approach, a grey NATO or anthracite rubber strap maintains the project's rationality.

Use a spring bar removal tool to extract the spring bars from the lugs. Position the flat tip of the tool in the groove of the spring bar side pin, gently push inward and the bar will slide out. Repeat for the other side, then insert the new strap by aligning the bars in the lug holes. Do not force to avoid damaging the case.

Any strap with a 20 mm lug width is technically compatible. We recommend choosing between high-quality leather (alligator, calf, shell cordovan), NATO canvas, or FKM rubber. Verify that the spring bars are standard length (approximately 18 mm) for optimal fit without play.

A quality artisanal leather strap, with vegetable tanning, has an average lifespan of 3-5 years with daily use. The patina evolves naturally, creating a visual memory of wear. An alligator strap tends to last longer (5-7 years) due to the natural structure of the leather. Periodic maintenance (gentle cleaning, conditioning) significantly extends longevity.
