Strap for CODE 11.59 Automatic 38 White Gold - Diamond / Diamond - Sapphire

Not in the conventional sense. The bracelet is integrated into the case and the attachment is proprietary — a standard strap simply has no way to connect. The only viable route is a bespoke one: I build the strap directly on the watch, at the atelier, measuring from the case itself.

I work exclusively by appointment at <a href="/pages/casati-booking">Casati Milano</a>, at Via XX Settembre 15 in Milan. I bring the watch to the bench, take measurements from the actual case, and build the attachment around the real geometry of the lugs. There are no shortcuts with an architecture like this.

I prefer smooth box calf, dyed to complement the white gold case — a deep slate grey or a dark midnight blue both work very well. The case has a formal, three-dimensional character that calls for a leather with its own presence, not an aggressive texture. Box calf ages with composure and carries the years well.

With quality leather and proper construction, I expect at least five to seven years of regular wear. Care makes a real difference: keep it away from water, apply a light conditioner every few months. Good leather does not deteriorate — it transforms, takes the shape of the wrist, and becomes more personal over time.

In 2019 it divided opinion. Audemars Piguet had built its identity around the Royal Oak, and such a different design — hidden octagonal middle case, circular bezel, domed sapphire crystal — caught many off guard. I looked at these watches closely at the bench: the construction is genuinely complex, and the hybrid geometry only reveals itself in person. Over time, the market came around.
