Set of two spring bars for Rolex Submariner 116618 in yellow gold, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Size: 20mm between the lugs. Pin 1.5mm. The 116618 is the Submariner Date in yellow gold produced from 2008 to 2020, before the transition to the modern 126618LN with 21mm lugs.
The 116618 has the Rolex Maxi case: lugs wider and more robust than the previous 16618, but the same 20mm size between the lugs. The 1.5mm pin is the correct specification — blind lugs, standard recess. The blue 116618LB and black 116618LN are Submariners that are rarely seen with a leather strap, but when it happens the difference between the right spring bar and a generic one is felt immediately.

Can I use these spring bars on a 116618LB or 116618LN, or are they only for the gold model?
Yes, they work on all 116618 models regardless of case colour (yellow gold, white gold, platinum) and dial. The lug geometry is identical: 20mm between pins, 1.5mm pins, solid lugs. Only the case material changes, not the size.
Are these 20mm compatible with a modern 126618 or the older 16618?
No on both counts. The modern 126618 has 21mm lugs — they won’t fit. The earlier 16618 (pre-2008) has narrower lugs and thinner pins. The 20mm are exclusive to the 116618 series from 2008 to 2020: specific Rolex Maxi case lugs for that model.
Is the 1.5mm pin standard or should I check my lugs before ordering?
It is standard for the 116618, but always verify: look inside the lug — the hole must be solid (non-through) and the pin diameter on your current strap must be 1.5mm. If in doubt, remove the current strap and measure the pin with calipers: it is the only safe method.
If I put a leather strap on a 116618 with these spring bars, is there greater risk of damage than with metal?
No, the risk is identical. The spring bar does not know the strap material — it holds the same. The danger, if anything, is leather that when wet swells and can create friction on the pin: that is not the spring bar’s fault. Remove the leather strap when you wet the watch, that is all.
