Set of two modern Rolex spring bars 21mm × 2.0mm fat, in hardened Swiss Standard steel. Special size for new-generation Rolex 40mm/41mm cases that use a deeper lug hole than standard. The pin, wider than the classic 1.5mm, holds better under the load of heavy aftermarket Oyster bracelets.

On the Sea-Dweller 126600 and on some Submariner 126610 there is a lug hole variant that better accepts the 2.0mm. It is not openly documented by Rolex, but those who work on these pieces notice it: the 1.5mm fits but leaves play. With the 2.0mm the pin pushes against more wall and holds even with a third-party Oyster.

I fit them in specific cases, when the case requires it. Verify first.

Domande Frequenti

Will these 2.0mm fit my Submariner 126610 or risk forcing the lug hole?

It depends on the production batch. Rolex changed the lug hole geometry between lots: some 126610s accept the 2.0mm without issues, others have the standard 1.5mm cavity. The only safe way is to test gently — if the pin enters with natural resistance and you don’t force it, you’re good. If you feel excessive friction halfway through, stop and go back to 1.5mm.

How much difference does the 2.0mm make versus 1.5mm with a heavy Oyster bracelet?

With an aftermarket Oyster over 200+ grams, the 1.5mm on these new cases leaves micro-play you’ll feel over time. The 2.0mm bears on more of the lug hole surface and won’t move — it’s stability, not power. You won’t notice the difference in a day, but you will in months.

Can I use the 2.0mm on a Submariner 126610 LN or is it only for Sea-Dweller?

The 126610 LN has the same deep lug hole, but it’s less documented because many still use the standard 1.5mm without complaint. If yours has visible play with the standard pin or you want to be safe with a heavy Oyster, the 2.0mm works.

These are Swiss tempered steel — how long do they last before bending with frequent strap changes?

Swiss Standard tempered steel withstands hundreds of mounting and removal cycles if you use the right tool (punch or lever, not your fingers). The real limit is geometry: after 200+ changes the pin may start to lose its square, but it depends more on how you handle them than the material.
